Better Friends of Friends Bonus Program: Terms and Conditions

Please Read Carefully

EXTERNAL REFERRER ELIGIBILITY
This Better Friends of Friends(the “Program”) is open only to non-employees and non-affiliates of Better Holdco, Inc. and its subsidiaries (together, “Better”).

You must be an individual person (i.e., not a business entity) and a legal resident of the United States of America who is at least 18 years of age to participate in the Program.

You may not be a current employee or affiliate of Better, anyone Better has engaged for recruiting services, or any employee or consultant of a third party to whom Better is otherwise contractually obligated to pay a fee for the hiring of an individual referred by, or working for, such third-party. In addition, individuals who work at organizations to which Better has a non-solicitation obligation, or individuals who are obligated not to refer employees of their employers or other parties, may not refer to Better the individuals that are the subjects of such obligations.

This Program also does not apply to individuals who have accepted employment with Better, and who have made referrals after their offer acceptance date and before the start date of their employment with Better. Better maintains a separate referral bonus program for employees and other internal parties. Please contact referrals@better.com for additional information about this internal referral program.

CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY
You are not eligible for a one-time referral bonus if the candidate you refer is a:

  • Self-referral;
  • Candidate who has already been referred by an external or internal reference;
  • Candidate that Better is actively recruiting, has applied for any position on the Better.com Careers website, or who has had a dialogue about career opportunities with Better or a Better representative within the last 6 months;
  • Recent or current contractor, temporary worker, payrollee, or consultant of Better;
  • Former Better employee (in any capacity).

While it is not necessary to have worked with a candidate in the past, the external referrer should be confident in their skills and work ethic, and the candidate must be personally known to the referrer. Candidates must be referred via the Drafted referral portal (see “HOW TO SUBMIT A REFERRAL” below).

Under the Program, a referred candidate must qualify for, interview for, accept an offer of employment for, and begin, full-time, regular employment. A one-time referral bonus is not given for roles that are temporary or part-time, an internship, or a contractor/consultant relationship.

BONUS AMOUNT AND PAYMENT PROCESS
Below indicates the one-time referral bonus amount associated with a candidate for a category of role. From time to time, Better may change the amount associated with a particular category of role, and referrals received on or after the Effective Date listed below will receive that new amount.
