What’s the fine print of the Better Appraisal Guarantee?

To be eligible for the Better Appraisal Guarantee* homebuyers must:

  • Complete a mortgage application for an amount less than $822,375 to purchase a primary residence.

  • Enter their offer on this residence using an agent from Better Real Estate between July 1, 2021, at 12:01 am ET and December 31, 2021, at 11:59 pm ET.

  • Make a down payment of at least 10% of the offer price.

  • Lock their mortgage interest rate before the home appraisal is completed.

  • Qualify for the mortgage loan and successfully close on this residence.

If the homebuyer’s Better Mortgage loan is denied or withdrawn before the closing date listed on their purchase contract the homebuyer will be ineligible for the Better Appraisal Guarantee.

This offer is only available to homebuyers who are purchasing properties in the states where Better Mortgage offers home loans, for loans applied to arms-length transactions (where the buyer and seller each act in their own best interests). This offer is subject to all applicable state laws.
