After growing up in the Richmond, Virginia area, I studied at the College of William & Mary where I majored in Marketing and Hispanic Studies. I then moved to the DC area and started my career as a market researcher and consultant. I worked on surveys, focus groups, and other research projects for a variety of clients across many different industries. During that time, I worked and lived in Maryland, DC, and Virginia. I thoroughly enjoyed all three, but I’m happy to be back in my home state!
While I enjoyed working in marketing, I eventually decided I was ready for a career change. As I thought about what to do next, I realized I’d always liked architecture, and I also had found my contract law class very interesting – not a particularly popular opinion. Real estate was the perfect blend of these interests and became an obvious choice, so after studying and working part time for a couple of years, I became a full-time real estate agent.
Since making the career change, I’ve focused on working with home buyers, especially first-timers. My main objective has been to clarify the many steps of the homebuying process. It has been a rewarding experience, and I’m thrilled to be at Better, a company where I can assist even more members of the community through the homebuying journey. At Better, we are on a mission to make homeownership simpler, faster, and more accessible.
